Robert Hemphill, an 8-year-old from Fosters, won a gold and bronze medal in the 2003 ProKennex International Racquetball Federation 15th Junior Worlds in Orlando.
The tournament took place Dec. 17-21.
Hemphill lost to Keegan North of Ohio in a tie-breaker, 14-15, 15-13, 11-1, to send him to the 8-under white division.
Keegan is the No. 1 ranked player in that age division in the United States.
In the blue division, Hemphill defeated Jeffrey Locke of Portland, Ore., 15-2, 15-10 to win the gold.
Hemphill won a bronze medal in the blue division, finishing seventh overall in the category out of 17 players.
